This Website Sucks
A helpful reader wrote to me this week basically saying, "Love your stuff. Your website sucks". Okay, he didn't basically say that. He said that exactly. I know he's right about this web page. Bodett.com has sucked for quite a number of years. If websites could have mullets, this one would. I haven't updated the design of it since, let me think -- ever. The reason is that I'm lazy and uninspired when it comes to electronic media. I see other websites and they look interesting and cool and there is always new content to check out. Mine lays here like one of those Chinese restaurants you pass everyday but have never seen or met anybody who has eaten there. Perhaps this site is also a front for a human trafficking network. Impossible, because that would be interesting and this is not.
What I need is somebody who is more interested in me and the stuff I do than I am. I don't say that in some sad sack Eeyore way. I just no longer have the vanity it takes to drive a self-promotion vehicle responsibly. Modesty is to the Internet what fuel economy is to NASCAR: The losers circle. Losers circle…hmm. Can you do that on google+?

This, frankly, is a rather inspiring post. Ironic, isn't it?
Kinda like that analogy. Perhaps could rename it Bodett's Chinese Noodle. I know reading it is sort of akin to getting that fortune cookie we all eagerly await. Every month not to plagiarize Meg Ryan in You've Got Mail but, I find myself staring at my computers RSS feed for your blog, I hold by breath and when I see a new feed i say You've got laughs....
Some peoples ocd is washing their hands 341 times a day. Mine is the Tom Bodett blog. That and trying to listen to It's Just like I Told You all the way through without falling asleep. Don't get me wrong it is hilarious and i actually envision the scenes in my head like a kid in a Saturday movie theater with box of pop corn. It's just that now I'm old ya see and same as an old cow it don't take much for us to nod off. Made it up to part 2 so far and know someday I'll make it all the way through.
We love ya Tom. You take up back to a gentler time when the world was not in such a rush.
Actually, I like the look of the website.
Dear Brad,
Thank you for the support, but let me ask you -- do you wear a mullet? As a mullet survivor myself I try to reach out to those still suffereing.
Had to agree with Matte i know i run theisk of being a mullet sympathizer, but there you have it. Rather inspiring....but is possible that I am easily inspired.
In fact, I quoted you in my own blog today, which brought me to your site.
Here to stay....
